I love it here!
I have visited Continental School of Beauty two more times since my last blog and I love it!!
I went to the West Seneca location, the one in the Southgate Plaza, for a facial after a loooong week. It was so amazing! I think I even fell asleep during my facial. It was so relaxing. Even better, while I was waiting to go in, I heard these two girls talking about getting a mud bath. That's so cool! I thought they only did those on shows like the Bachelor and stuff. I definitely have to try it out.
Then, a week later, I went to get a manicure at the Kenmore Avenue location, right near BUDWEY's : ) Yes, I know, I am totally getting pampered this summer! It's great. It is so affordable anyone could be pampered. And, they do a great job.
My next appointment- another pedicure! This time I am treating my Mom.
Uh Huh... Her
A few weeks ago, me and my two friends took a little road trip to Philly to see one of our favorite bands. They are two girls, Leisha Haley & Camilla Grey, and they call themselves, "Uh Huh Her." Pretty sweet, huh? They are an Indie Rock band and they are awesome. You can check them out here. www.myspace.com/uhhuhhermusic
Leisha Haley also happens to star in one of our FAVORITE shows- The L Word. It's on Show Time and it's amazing. Leisha plays Alice, a radio DJ (very cool), and quite possibly could be my favorite on the show. There are so many good characters it's hard to pick one.
So, the best part of our road trip, besides of course the ride itself, is that we actually got to meet her!!! My good friend Jenn is quite the talker and convinced them somehow that we were important and should meet the band. We had about a 30 second conversation with them and I felt like I was her best friend.
Now, I usually don't get all excited about celebrities, but she was probably one of the coolest people I have ever met. We even got to steal a photo with her. Check it out but don't judge us- we had a verrrry long car ride and didn't have much time to get all nice and pretty! Leisha is the one in the white next to me and Camilla is all in black. The other two are Dee and Jenn.
This moment right here made the 8 hour trip to Philly and the 8 hour back home to Buffalo (with very little sleep- thanks Jenn for driving & Dee for keeping her up!!!) worth it!
P.S. Road trips are SOO much fun. You should try one this summer...but hurry before gas gets to the $10 mark!
